Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how businessNOW s.r.o. ("we", "us"), operator of the studioNOW ecosystem (studioNOW Hub, renderNOW and related apps), collects, uses, and protects your personal data.

1. Data we collect

  • Account data — your email address, used to create your account, sign in, and deliver licenses.
  • License & device data — a device identifier (a one-way hash of basic hardware attributes) used to bind your license to your machine and enforce device limits. We do not collect your name, files, or project content.
  • Payment data — processed entirely by Paddle as Merchant of Record. We never receive or store your full card details; we only receive a transaction/subscription reference and your subscription status.
  • Diagnostics — minimal technical logs (errors, app version, heartbeat) to keep the service running. No content of your projects is transmitted.

2. How we use your data

  • To provide and maintain your account, licenses, and subscriptions.
  • To process payments and renewals (via Paddle).
  • To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
  • To detect, prevent, and address technical issues or abuse.

3. Legal basis (GDPR)

We process your data on the basis of performance of a contract (providing the software and licenses you purchase), legitimate interest (security, fraud prevention, service improvement), and consent where required. We are based in the EU (Slovakia) and comply with the GDPR.

4. Sub-processors

We use a small number of trusted third parties to deliver the service. The current list is published at Sub-processors and includes Supabase (data storage & auth), Vercel (hosting), and Paddle (payments). Each operates under its own privacy policy.

5. Data retention

We keep account and license data for as long as your account is active and as required to meet legal and accounting obligations. You may request deletion at any time (see below); we will delete data that we are not legally required to retain.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@studionow.app.

7. Data transfers

Some sub-processors (e.g. Supabase, Vercel) may store or process data outside the EU. Where this happens, transfers are covered by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, communicated to you.
